The Netherlands, for example, has been widely documented as an important source for the illicit drugs on cryptomarkets (EMCDDA & Europol, 2019). However, following the COVID-19 breakout, its presence on cryptomarkets appears to have decreased somewhat (EMCDDA & Europol, 2020).
